Our Anchor

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of God shall stand for ever." (Isaiah 40:8).

Often in our lives we have trials and heartaches that we have to go through, but we have an anchor, our blessed Savior, who will keep us from drowning. When there is no rain for a long time, or there is too much rain, the flowers and grass fade and wither. It is the same with us if we don't have a steady diet of the Word of God.

Sometimes our strength grows weak, and our determinations falters, it is then that we need to cling to Jesus, our anchor in the storms of life. If we are unable to run to Jesus, or even walk to Him because we are hurting so badly, then we need to crawl to Him, or ask someone to lift us up to Him.

It does not matter what heartache, problem, or crisis we are facing, the Word of God is still true and will stand forever. Many people scoff at the Bible and at those who believe it. Get a rope and tie yourself to the anchor of love, Jesus. As long as we are anchored in Him, all hell can come against us but we will be held safe and secure by His love and faitfulness.

Is your strength weak today? Do you feel that you aren't able to go another day? Turn to the only one who can give lasting comfort and support. Yes, Jesus is our blessed anchor of hope and safety.

Thank God for His anchor of love!!

Redeemed From Every Type Of Sickness

Galatians 3:1313
Christ has redeemed us from thecurse of the law, having become acurse for us (for it iswritten, “Cursed is everyone who hangson a tree”).

The One who cleansed lepers, opened blind eyes and made the lame to walk took your sins, sicknesses and every curse when He hung on Calvary’s tree. The curses that were meant for you because of your sins fell on Him instead. He was cursed in your placeto redeem you from every curse that comes as a result of breaking God’s laws.

What are these curses? They are listed in Deuteronomy 28. It is a long and detailed list. Don’t get frightened when you read the curses, but rejoice because Christ has redeemed you from every single one of them, including those on sicknesses!

Are you stricken with tuberculosis, fever or inflammation? (Deuteronomy28:22) Christ has redeemed you from every one of these conditions!

Do you have painful boils, tumours or an itch which doctors say cannot be healed? (Deuteronomy 28:27) Christ has redeemed you from every one of theseconditions!

Perhaps yours is a serious and prolonged sickness. (Deuteronomy28:59) It doesn’t matter — Christ has redeemed you from every prolongeds ickness!

“Well, you have covered tuberculosis, fever, itch… but what about mydisease? It is not covered in Deuteronomy 28. Did Jesus forget mydisease?”

No, His work is perfect! Look at Deuteronomy 28:61: “Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law,will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed.” That covers everything. So if Christ has redeemed you from this curse, then He has redeemed you from every type of sickness! I don’t care what new type of sickness the world discovers —Christ has redeemed us from every type of sickness!

Now, if you have a particular sickness, say, “This (name thesickness) is part of the curse of the law. But Galatians 3:13 says that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I have been redeemed from (name the sickness)!”Believe and confess that every day, and as surely as Jesus took everycurse of sickness, your healing will manifest!

The Ultimate Dance Partner

It is amazing how much fun dancing can be. Fun memories are created, laughs are shared, as well as unpredictable moments that keep you on your toes.

Dancing is so much more though; it is symbolic.

The man leading the woman around while the woman follows and looks beautiful, pointing her toes and smiling. It is more than just a dance; it is dependent on trust between partners. If both decide to dance separately, the true beauty of this art form is not seen. It takes the union to create aharmony to the musical arrangement.

"Trust in the Lord will all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

God is the dancer who is leading us to the absolutely amazing arrangement of life. He asks us to follow Him.

I have to admit it is hard to follow sometimes. It is easy to decide to follow your own path, to beindependent. It is easy to get lost in the world and wonder where the joy went, and find yourself ina dark pit, where only a dim light appears, out of your reach.

Then in the mist of depression from the darkness which has engulfed you, God sends you an angel togive you guidance and support, to remind you that God has not forgotten you. He is right here withyou, He will never leave you. He gives you strength to fight for the light and joy in the world; itis a tough battle which rages. The outcome of trusting God to help you to the light is amazing, anoverwhelming peace and joy, unexplainable in all of its glory.

God just wants to dance with you. If you let Him, He will lead you like no one else can. He willteach you some amazing moves and celebrate the joy of life with you.

There will be times that the tempo increases working you to your limit; God is still there. Thingsaround you may tempt you; God is there to give you strength to resist. When you are weak, He willcomfort you, holding you close to His heart.

He is an amazing dancer that calls to all to join Him, not guaranteeing that it will always be easyor that it will always work out the way you have planned, but that He will never leave you.

He just wants you to follow Him down a path He has planned for you, with the ultimate goal ofgrowing closer to Him. He has an amazing plan for each of us, which is beyond our knowledge. It iseasy to try and lead yourself, to predict what He has planned; only He knows, so trust in the Lord.

Have faith in the One who made you, who loves you unconditionally, and who is asking you to dance.

The Secret

One day, one friend asked another,

"How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down."

With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!"

"What secret is that?" asked the friend.

To which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others.

"The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs.

"When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches.

"I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down.

Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."

The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!"

But upon reflecting over her own life, she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't! She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't.

When did she realize her greatest happiness?

Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God.

We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that.

Trust Him!

The Nail

A new church was built in the small town. People came from far and wide to see it. Everyone admired its beauty!

Up on the roof, a little nail heard the people praising everything about the lovely structure--except the nail. No one even knew he was there, and he became angry and jealous.

"If I am that insignificant, nobody will miss me if I quit." So the nail then released its hold, slid down the roof, and fell in the mud.

That night, it rained and rained. Soon, the shingle that had no nail blew away, and the roof began to leak.

The water streaked the walls and the beautiful murals. The plaster began to fall, the carpet was stained, and the pulpit Bible was ruined by water.

All this because a little nail decided to quit.

But what of the nail? While holding the shingle, it was obscure but it was also useful.
Buried in the mud it was just as obscure, but now it was useless and would soon be eaten up by rust.

The moral of the story--every member of the church is important.

You may, like the nail, feel obscure at times. But just like the nail, your absence is felt. When you are not present for worship, in some way, the body of Christ hurts.

We are all a significant part of the Lord's ministry.
